Climate Welcome at Pacific Spirit Park

Join Salal + Cedar Watershed Discipleship Community in the Climate Welcome for our new Prime Minister. Together with communities from sea to sea to sea we will be sending our PM samples of water along with our messages of concern for sacred land and waters.

Meet at 12 noon at the parking lot of St. Anselm’s church, 5210 University Blvd. UBC Campus and we will make a pilgrimage to Spanish Banks Creek, a chum salmon spawning stream that flows through Pacific Spirit Park. (15 min by bike, 30 walking, 8 by car).

Last week we used this holy water to bless the animals we love, next week we will pray, collect water samples, write messages and send them to Ottawa. And don’t worry if you can’t make it, there’s probably water near where you live too.
