Come and pray outdoors as the sun goes down and 1000 crows fly overhead. We will share a time of prayer and reflection, paying attention to scripture and to nature.
Salal + Cedar is a non-proselytizing christian church with a vocation for ecological justice. We worship outdoors on Coast Salish territory and try to be a welcoming place for all bodies, all ages and all genders.
Meet us at the north end of Trout Lake (John Hendry Park) near the dog beach (nearest 12th Ave). Our worship time will include a walk around the lake for those who wish -an easy distance of under 1km with no elevation gain.
The park is accessible by transit and there are gendered restrooms on site at the south end of the lake.
Participation in worship will leave sufficient time for those who are coming from Grandview Baptist’s event “An Invitation to the Table Supporting LGBTQ+ folks in the church” and for those who plan to attend the Still Moon Society’s Crow Roost Bike Ride afterward (bike ride activities start at 5 and the ride is at 5:30, just across 12th).
