New Font from St. Clement’s

Deacon Elizabeth Mathers received a font bowl on behalf of Salal + Cedar from Helen Dunn, Rector of St. Clement’s. St. Clement’s has been given a font by the people of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, their neighbours in Lynn Valley who have disbanded as a congregation and generously donated the furnishings of their building to other communities; in return, St. Clement’s has given the bowl they had been using to Salal + Cedar. Elizabeth will remodel it (it is made of painted and varnished papier mache) for use by our community. Who knows what water-centred liturgies it will figure in?
